There are an infinite number of ways to be a human being

About

I am a 49 year old cis woman partnered with a trans man. I am a mother, have been married and divorced, navigated monogamous and open relationships, was straight until I was queer...I’ve been a dishwasher, waitress, bartender, professional photographer, pumped gas and more.

Through a life well worn, I’ve developed a deep curiosity about those around me and a compassion for the ways in which we all find joy, love, release and meaning. I would love to learn your story and help rediscover the strengths that may have been dulled under the dust of a life’s construction

Families

Families vary wildly as does the work I do with each. Different groupings need different approaches; different ages need different language. My goal is to understand the family as a whole, respect the wants and needs of the individuals, map out what is/was working and what is now knocking you off kilter. As with all my work, I won’t decided who is right or wrong but rather how you can better convey what matters, why it matters and how you all might find agreement within the differences

Couples

Couples work is incredibly dynamic, which I love. It is (of course) listening to what’s being said by each person but more importantly, how it’s being said and why. I’m not going to tell you who’s ‘right’ but I will try and help you figure out a way to find agreements and connect to what matters for each of you. I work with couples who are using therapy before anything goes off the rails as well as couples who are navigating deep betrayal or disconnection and are asking not only ‘how can we stay together’ but ‘should we’

Individuals

With individuals I like to get to know what concern is bringing you in as well as what has already been working well in your life. I use humor, I am honest in the room with you, and I don’t pretend to have the answers. But I’m pretty good at asking questions that will lead you to your own
